Sponsor a Classroom Thank You Program

A sponsorship buys Culture of Thank You materials for a class or youth group of 4- to 9-year-olds. You may choose the recipients—including a grandchild’s class in another state—or Alison will match you with a leader who asked.

How to sponsor a class for Culture of Thank You

Any U.S. state can be sponsored. Teachers and youth leaders register on Find a Sponsor at no cost to them. Alison contacts the leader before the package ships, confirms the address, and sends sponsor information plus a sample letter the leader can share with parents.

Payment is due when the materials are ready to ship. Sponsors receive stickers on the activity books and the manual, a 10 by 14 inch thank-you sign, a certificate of appreciation, and public acknowledgement. Shipping is included on full and partial packages.

Extra activity books come in tens when the group is larger than 30, and a 10-book sponsor can be matched to round out a package. Business sponsorships are described by the program as tax deductible in a promotions and advertising category. That is the program’s statement, not personal tax advice.

What the package includes

Sponsored packages center on the Operation Thank You Manual, classroom activity books for each child, and the 30-card flashcard set. Spanish books and the MISSION Reminders Supplement can be included when some students speak Spanish.

Individuals can also order materials separately for gifts and home use, including the original laminated activity book.

Next steps for sponsors and leaders

Sponsors: choose a group or ask Alison for a match. Leaders: register on Find a Sponsor. Families buying for home can browse products anytime.

Read classroom gratitude missions and the elementary hub to see how teachers use the materials after they arrive.

Who sponsorship helps

Public, private, and charter elementary classrooms teaching ages 4 to 9.

Daycare rooms, preschool/playschool groups, Scouts and youth packs, Sunday school classes, after-school clubs, and homeschool co-ops.

Leaders who asked for help and sponsors who already know a grandchild’s teacher in another state.

What leaders do after the box arrives

Skim the Operation Thank You Manual calendar that matches the group—daily or weekly.

Give each child an activity book; keep the flashcards visible for the first mission.

Share the sample parent letter when provided. Run the first spoken-thanks mission within a week so materials do not sit unused.

Read classroom gratitude missions and the elementary hub for pacing tips.

How to start today

Sponsors: visit sponsorship info, then Find a Sponsor / contact paths listed on the site, or email info@cultureofthankyou.com.

Leaders: register on Find a Sponsor at no cost and prepare your headcount, including Spanish book needs.

Families buying for one child at home can go straight to products without a sponsorship.

Full vs partial packages and large groups

Full packages aim to equip the leader and every child with the core materials set for the program.

Partial packages still ship with included shipping on sponsored orders and can be rounded out later with packs of ten activity books.

Groups over thirty should plan extras early so no child sits out the writing day.

Spanish-speaking enrollment should be counted separately so Alison can include the right mix of English and Spanish books.

Acknowledgement and communication

Sponsors receive stickers on books, a thank-you sign, a certificate, and public acknowledgement per program practice.

Leaders receive sponsor information and a sample letter for parents before or with the shipment.

Clear communication prevents surprise deliveries and helps teachers prepare shelf space and a launch date.

Why sponsorship fits Culture of Thank You

The program is built for classrooms that need materials, not only families who can buy a kit at home.

Sponsorship keeps the focus on children practicing thank you—not on teachers funding SEL supplies from their own wallets.

After materials arrive, the best thank-you a class can give a sponsor is real student notes that name kindnesses learned in the missions.

Sponsor FAQ in plain language

Can I pick the class? Yes—including out of state.

Can Alison pick for me? Yes—she matches leaders who already asked.

Do teachers pay to request? No.

When do I pay? When the package is ready to ship.

Is shipping extra on sponsored packages? Shipping is included on full and partial sponsored packages.

What about Spanish? Tell Alison how many Spanish books you need when counts are confirmed.

Can I sponsor only activity books? Ten-book sponsorships can round out a package when a room grows past thirty.

What if the leader never responds? Alison confirms addresses before shipping; packages are not sent into a void.

Sponsorship compared with buying products yourself

Buy products when you are equipping your own child, gift a family kit, or replenishing a room you already lead and fund.

Sponsor when you want to fund another leader’s classroom or youth group—especially when cost should not land on the teacher.

Both paths use the same Culture of Thank You materials and the same missions. The difference is who pays and whether acknowledgement materials are part of the gift.

After you sponsor: what good looks like

The leader launches missions within a reasonable window so books do not sit in a closet.

Children practice spoken thanks and write notes that name kindnesses.

You may receive acknowledgement materials; the deeper thank-you is student work grounded in real noticing.

You can sponsor again later for extras in tens or for another group entirely.

Business sponsors who need wording for internal approvals can describe the gift as classroom learning materials that teach children ages 4 to 9 to notice kindness and write thank-you notes. The program’s promotions-and-advertising framing is available on sponsorship info pages; treat tax questions as needing the sponsor’s own advisor.

Individuals sponsoring a grandchild’s class often include a short note to the teacher. Keep it warm and brief. The curriculum and the missions will carry the rest once the box arrives.

Questions leaders ask

A leader requests a sponsor at no cost, or a sponsor chooses a group. Alison confirms details with the leader before shipping. Payment is due when the package is ready.
