MORE THAN SAYING 'THANK YOU'

What is the Culture of Thank You?

The Culture of Thank You is a hands-on gratitude program for children ages 4–9 that helps them understand WHY gratitude matters and HOW to express it.

Through engaging MISSIONS, activities, and meaningful conversations, children learn to notice, appreciate, and acknowledge the good in their lives—and put gratitude into practice.

Because saying “Thank You” is about much more than good manners.

It's about recognizing others, appreciating what we have, and making gratitude a natural part of everyday life.

Founder's story

Why I Createdthe Culture of Thank You

“Thank You” is more than two words. It's a way of recognizing the people around us and showing appreciation for the things that matter.

The Culture of Thank You began with an unexpected idea—one that founder Alison Gilham simply couldn’t let go of. Her lifelong belief in the power of a sincere “thank you” became a hands-on program designed to help children understand WHY gratitude matters and HOW to express it.

“The mission of The Culture of Thank You is to help children understand the meaning and power of gratitude: why it matters, how to express it, and how a sincere ‘thank you’ strengthens the connections between people.

By giving children opportunities to notice, appreciate, and acknowledge the good that others bring into their lives, we help make gratitude a habit they can carry with them for a lifetime.”

Small Words. Big Impact.
